Institutions Committee

The Institution Committee needs support. The Intergroup Council is asking for an A.A. Member to stand for the position of Institutions Chair.

The purpose of the Institution Committee comes from that basic AA principle - we give it away to keep it. A.A. members have the opportunity to go into institutions and share their experience, strength, and hope.

The Institution Committee makes these crucial meetings possible between the institutionalized alcoholic and the A.A. member. To do this, the committee: Schedules A.A. Groups to go to the institution, coordinates with the institution for the meetings and for orientation, supplies the institution with literature, finds sponsors for some of the institutions, and works with Bridging the Gap.

If you are interested in being of service and learning how you can help, please contact Rex P., Intergroup Chair, at office@nemdaa.org or at rex@nemdaa.org.

Final Thought:

"The tools of sobriety and recovery in A.A. are there for me to use in all aspects of my life, and all I ever need is the willingness to do what is in front of me. "
