. . . anything whatever

"The answer is simple. An A.A. service is anything whatever that legitimately helps us to reach fellow sufferers. As we have seen, the Twelfth Step call is the greatest of A.A.'s services"

Office News

August's Featured Literature: Grapevine's "Spiritual Awakenings: Journey of the Spirit" In 1946, Bill W. described Grapevine as a "collective voice" for AA. Here is a collection of those distinct and varied voices, spanning almost sixty years. Spiritual Awakenings presents the stories of AAs as they describe with warmth, passion, and humor the diverse ways in which the "sunlight of the spirit" has come into their lives.

Thank you to all the groups and individuals who continue to support the Intergroup through contributions and service. From the chair....
"Please join me in thanking Tom K for all of his many years of service to NEDMAA, most recently as the Archives Committee Chair. He and his beautiful bride have moved north out of the State of Maryland. Our prayers and meditations are with you both. Thank you!
With his departure, we are in need of a new Archives Committee Chair. If you want to get into Service, have an interest in A.A. and NEMDAA history, this position might be perfect for you. He dropped off boxes of A.A. and non-A.A. historical information at our Intergroup Office. There is rich history within these boxes. Volunteers are requested to help sort through this treasure trove of documented history.
If you are interested in assisting and/or taking the chair position, please email myself rex@nemdaa.org or the office at office@nemdaa.org
You have to give it away in order to keep it.
Rex, Love in Service
"

Final Thought:

" . . . I do know that in A.A. there is much work to do, and none of us can do it standing still. . . We all have the same sickness, and in helping one another, we are able to stay sober. "
