FEATURED LITERATURE: Happy, Joyous & Free: The Lighter Side of Sobriety Getting sober can be painful and amazing, but it also can be pretty darn amusing. This collection of stories from Grapevine show how, in recovery, AAs have learned to laugh. It’s full of light and humorous stories about our early mistakes, navigating drinking events, funny things sponsors say, interesting Twelfth-Step calls, holiday adventures and more. They remind us to not take ourselves so seriously and to always strive to be “happy, joyous & free.”

Final Thought:

"I learned to laugh again in AA, and when I'm laughing, the whole world seems to smile at me. . . I have come to believe that I am being restored to sanity when my sense of humor is restored and I cease to take myself too seriously."
