Whose inventory?

"We do not relate intimate experiences of another member unless we are are sure he would approve. we find it better, when possible, to stick to our own stories. A man may criticize or laugh at himself and it will affect others favorably, but criticism or ridicule aimed at someone else often produces the contrary effect."

Institutions Committee

A.A. women are needed to bring meetings into a Women's Facility in Elkton. If you are interested in carrying the message, please send an email to office@nemdaa.org or call the office at 410-272-4150.

Perry Point Veteran's Hospital has opened their doors again for meetings. This commitment began Friday, May 27. We are looking for groups and individuals to support meetings Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 7-8 PM. Harford Memorial Hospital has also reached out about reopening meetings. Stay tuned for more information. Service commitments are certainly a way to “carry the message” and “give it away to keep it”.

If you are interested in supporting any institution commitment, please send an email to Rex@nemdaa.org and copy Frank@nemdaa.org.

Service

Be of service to your home group and the fellowship - get involved!

ONE suggestion is to watch the new video from Bill and Lois W.'s N.Y. home, "Stepping Stones." Wherever you are, you can be a part of the National Historic Landmark where Alcoholics Anonymous cofounder Bill Wilson wrote life-changing books, and where Lois Wilson cofounded Al-Anon Family Groups. The home is a treasure trove of 12-Step recovery history, so please join us! Share this video with your homegroup!

Final Thought:

"A continuous look at our assets and liabilities, and a real desire to learn and grow by this means are necessities for us. We alcoholics have learned this the hard way. More experienced people, of course, in all time and places have practiced unsparing self-survey and criticism."
