ANNOUNCEMENTS

GROUP NEWS:
IT TAKES A VILLAGE New Women's meeting, Wed. 10am, Harford Community church, opened Aug. 24th.

Effective immediately, SPIRIT OF LIFE has re-opened at the Haven House, Monday 7pm.

The Lunch Bunch will be pausing the Zoom meetings ONLY on Mon, Wed, and Fridays for the month of August. They will resume on September 7th. The in-person LUNCH BUNCH meetings are not affected and will remain daily M-F.

SPESUTIA GROUP will be closed due to church functions. We will resume meeting on Friday, September 2nd.

INTERGROUP NEWS:

Intergroup Council Announcement: Due to personal matters, the Intergroup Chair has stepped down. In accordance with the bylaws, the Secretary and Treasurer, with the support of other members of the Intergroup Council, will perform in this capacity until the vacancy can be discussed at the next Intergroup meeting on 9/27. We appreciate the patience and support of the fellowship in this matter.

SAVE THE DATE - NEMDAA Fall Breakfast Sunday, October 16th 8 AM - 12 PM at Level Firehouse 3633 Level Village Road, Havre de Grace. Tickets on sale soon from your local Intergroup Representative.

DISTRICT NEWS:
SAVE THE DATE - Saturday, September 24th 11am - 2pm. - District 30 Annual Picnic at Havre de Grace Ambulance Corp. Bring a side dish or dessert if you wish.

AAWS GSO NEWS:
Call for Stories for AAs Who Got Sober Later in Life Stories for the Older Alcoholic Please submit on or before Sept 23, 2022 at access@aa.org or mail to PO Box 459, New York, NY 10163.

 

Institutions Committee

Perry Point Veteran's Hospital has opened their doors again for meetings. This commitment began Friday, May 27. We are looking for groups and individuals to support meetings Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 7-8 PM. For more information Send an email to Rex@nemdaa.org


Service

HELP WANTED: Paid position available in the Intergroup Office for Fridays and/or Saturdays. We are looking for an AA member with at least two years sobriety. If you are interested in being of service to your fellows, please call 410-272-4150 or email the Office Manager at office@nemdaa.org for details.

For all the many years of service to Alcoholics Anonymous It is with deep sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of our friend in the fellowship and an irreplaceable member of Sunday Morning NOW, Tyrone B. His smile and kindness will be truly missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family at this difficult time
