Office News

Thank you to all the groups and individuals who continue to support the Intergroup through contributions and service. Special Thanks go to Martha H. for celebrating her Anniversary with a Birthday Plan Contribution. Contributions may be made by mail or in person at the office: NEMDAA, 28 Centennial Lane, Aberdeen, MD 21001, or online via the PayPal account which is set up for contributions and is accessible on the Contribute page.

Grapevine has announced a price increase on all books $2.49 per book effective January 1, 2023. Most will go from $11.50 to $13.99. Please inform the office if you would like to order any of the titles prior to the price increase. Currently we have most titles in stock.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

GROUP NEWS:

A new AA meeting will begin on Friday, October 14 at 6:00 pm at the North East United Methodist Church. The format will be a Big Book study. Participants will read and contemplate passages from the Big Book, staying focused on the text as opposed to sharing personal experiences. All are welcome!

North East Friday Night Group will be celebrating 57 years on Friday 10/21 at the regular meeting time. Come help us celebrate!

It's A New Day Step Meeting on Thursdays in Port Deposit has changed it's time to 7 PM effective immediately.

Rising Sun Big Book is now meeting on Wednesdays at 7 PM at West Nottingham Presbyterian Church in Colora.

District 11 Monthly Meeting on Friday October 14th 6PM at Bethel Lutheran Church on 24 Cameron Rd in North East, MD. We are excited and looking forward to all GSRs attending!

INTERGROUP NEWS:

FALL GRATITUDE BREAKFAST on October 16th. Tickets are $20 each. The breakfast will be from 8 AM to 12 PM at the Level Volunteer Fire Hall, 3363 Level Village Road, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. For tickets you can email Kelly at kelly@nemdaa.org or call the office at 410-272-4150.

AREA/STATE NEWS:

AA All Access Committee - DEAF COMMUNITY. Access - Info - Outreach - Guest Speaker on Outreach, ASL, Plain Language, and More!! Monday, October 10th at 7 PM on Zoom.  Meeting ID:  690 3937 306. PW:  AAC2020.

Area 29 Assembly Hybrid Meeting, Saturday, October 15th 8:30 AM - 3 PM at Severna Park United Methodist Church, 731 Benfield Road, Severna Park, 21146. See the Events Page for more information. The Assembly will be conducting its 4th step inventory - please join us and participate in this awesome service to A.A. - be involved in the spiritual experience.

Institutions Committee

All is well at Perry Point and Cecil County Detention Center - we're taking meetings into those communities. If you have questions or want to serve at other facilities when they open back up to meetings, email Rex at rex@nemdaa.org or Frank at frank@nemdaa.org.

Service

We send our love and condolences to Tom K's family, friends and Home Group - Aberdeen Monday Night Group. Tom served our A.A.Community for many years and he will be missed.

BINGO HELP NEEDED
The Ways and Means Committee is asking for a Home Group to Sponsor the Fall Bingo on November 19th. If your group would be interested in learning how you can Sponsor Bingo, please call the Intergroup Office at 410-272-4150 or send email to Kelly at kelly@nemdaa.org. For several years the Bel Air Big Book sponsored the Bingo Events. We want to say THANK YOU for everything they did.
