Office News

Help Wanted -Part Time Paid Position in the office. We need someone with good communication skills, computer knowledge, to be able to manage and order inventory supplies, answer the phone and service walk in requests. Training will be provided. Contact Carol by email at carol@nemdaa.org.

Be of Service! Office Volunteers play a vital role of an operating intergroup office. How can you help? Duties may include answering the phone, literature and medallion sales, counting inventory, prepping sales items (folding, labeling), and light cleaning. GROUP NEWS:

LOCATION CHANGE - Pursuit of Happiness will be held in North East Park @ 6:30 PM on Thursday, August 3rd.

TIME CHANGE - Friends of Bill that meets on Saturday night at 8pm, has decided to change the meeting time to 7:30p - 8:30p.

FORMAT CHANGE It's a New Day- Saturdays 5pm. Meeting is changing their format from 'discussion' to 'the Promises.'

August 4th - August 6th - The 51st Maryland State Convention! This will be the event of the summer! The State Convention Committee has been working around the clock to provide a great experience and we need your support to fill the Hunt Valley Ballroom. Register Today and join us! The first 600 registrations will receive a commemorative pin. There are so many workshops and wonderful speakers scheduled all weekend. There will also be A.A. and Al-anon meetings throughout the weekend that you can attend, from early in the morning until late at night. Meals will sell out soon, including the Saturday Night Dinner Banquet. Hotel rooms at the Marriott are still available but filling up quickly as well. Make your reservations here. Hotel Reservation. You don't want to miss the Sobriety Countdown, Recovery Talent Show, A.A. History Presentation, and Ice Cream Socials. There will be a hospitality suite open for snacks, coffee and water throughout the weekend. Without unity, the Heart of A.A. would cease to beat. Flyers English - State Convention and Spanish - State Convention. Spanish & ASL Interpretation will be provided with additional accommodations for the hard of hearing.
