Alcoholic Thinking

There were times in our drinking careers when we were convinced that all we had to do to control our drinking was to quit after the second drink or some other number. Only gradually did we come to appreciate. . . it was the first! The first drink was the one that did the damage . . . the one that started us on our merry-go-rounds . . . the one that set up a chain reaction . . .

A hearty THANK YOU goes to the 200+ members of our fellowship who gathered together at the 2023 Fall Gratitude Breakfast on October 22nd. The Intergroup Council is grateful for every one of you who brought your experience, strength, and hope to share with others in support of our primary purpose, to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety. Mark your calendars to join together again at the New Year's Eve Dance on 12/31/23, Bingo on 2/17/24, and the Spring Breakfast on 4/21/24, and contact

November 10th - DISTRICT 11 ELECTIONS- District 11 will hold elections for District Committee Member (DCM), Alternate District Committee Member, Secretary, and Treasurer service positions on November 10th at 6:30 PM at Bethel Lutheran Church, 24 Cameron Road, North East, MD. All interested members are invited to stand for election at our meeting. Serving General Service Representatives (GSRs) or their Alternates are urged to attend as voting members. Please join us as we honor the spirit of rotation.

Thank you to all who came out for our first New Year's Eve Dinner/Dance committee meeting! We are well under way but still need help if you want to join us in planning this exciting Intergroup event! Next meeting will be Wed. Nov. 22, 5:30 PM at North East Methodist Church basement hall where the dance will take place.
