Office News

The Intergroup Council voted at the January 23, 2024 meeting to move forward with a Spring 2024 reprint of the meeting directory.: The Intergroup will print new meeting directories in April 2024. If your group has made any changes to name, day, time, location, or format, but has not yet notified the Intergroup, please be sure to send your changes to office@nemdaa.org by 3/31 in order to make the next printing.

GROUP NEWS:

It's a New Day - Daily Reflections Sundays at 1 PM in Port Deposit is continuing to meet, and is asking for fellowship support. The Meeting is held in Nesbitt Hall in Port Deposit at 99 North Main Street.

New Beginnings - It's A New Day - Promises on Thursdays at 5:30 PM in Port Deposit has closed permanently.

Rising Sun Big Book meeting on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM at the West Nottingham Presbyterian Church is cancelled until April 3rd.

February 11th - SOS Group will not meet on Sunday at 9:30 AM.

February 26th Monday Night Group in Chesapeake City will be celebrating 40 years. Food and fellowship will begin at 6 PM followed by the meeting at 7 PM. Please feel free to bring a dish. This will be an OPEN meeting, located at First Presbyterian Church, 351 Biddle St, Chesapeake City, MD.

February 28th - New Meeting - Wednesday Beginners Meeting at 6:30 PM at the (old) St. Francis de Sales Residence, 1120 Blue Ball Road St, Elkton. Follow signs to parking and walk to Door #13 (Old Chapel). The meeting format will be a practical beginners' meeting using Twelve & Twelve. The first three weeks on Steps 1-3 and the 4th Wednesday on a topic from Living Sober. A guest chair will usually gets things started. Come and join us.

DISTRICT NEWS:

February 9th - District 11 Monthly Meeting at 6:30 PM. The District meets at the Bethel Lutheran Church, 24 Cameron Road, North East. Is your Home Group in Cecil County? Please come and join us to help serve the fellowship. Your new District Committee Member (DCM), Pete P, Alternate DCM, Caleb T, Secretary, Pat E, and Treasurer. Maggie O. would like your Home Group's input. Hope to see you at the meeting.

INTERGROUP NEWS:

February 17th - BINGO - Level Volunteer Fire Hall. Paper tickets are available for $20 at the Intergroup office and with some members of the fellowship. Reserve your seat & enjoy an evening of fun and fellowship!

MARYLAND/AAWS NEWS:

January 28th - HOW SHOULD WE TREAT THE A.A. FOUNDERS' WRITINGS? - Share your Group's Opinion. This is the 2nd meeting of four to give your groups opinion to our Delegate. The Delegate will pass this information on to the General Service Conference this Spring. Print this flyer and give it to your Home Group Area 29 Sharing Sessions to Discuss Our Founders Writings - Flyer. Meetings will also be held on January 30th, and February 3rd. Come and join us and let the Delegate know what your Home Group members think.

Service

February 5th Please join us for our next virtual Intergroup Liaison Committee (IGLC) meeting Monday, February 5 at 6:30 PM via Zoom. Kristin B, Area 29 Newsletter Chair, will provide a history and overview of the Margenser newsletter retirement and the new effort in restarting a MGS newsletter. Mark D, previous West Central IG (WCI) chair, will provide a unique overview, lessons learned, of his experience as IG Chair and separately Vice Chair during the Pandemic. See EVENTS page. February 22nd - 25th - Register now NERAASA (Northeast Regional A.A. Service Assembly.) This is a weekend of learning how to serve your home group through service in your area and region. If you are interested, visit the website at NERAASA or seek out your district DCM to get more information.

Be of service to your home group - let them know the February Issue of the Grapevine is available. This month's feature section is "Getting Through Tough Times".
