GROUP NEWS

Sober Voices on Wednesdays at 7 PM in Aberdeen has closed.

Friends of Bill W at the Haven House Educational Building, 1195 Augustine Herman Highway, Elkton is in need of support. Join them on Saturdays at 7:30pm.

Location Change - Early Bird Group has moved to the Northeast Community Park for the summer, Saturdays at 8:30 AM in the pavilion farthest from the parking lot, bring your own coffee.

May 18th - The Rising Sun Group is sponsoring The Spring Fling at West Nottingham Presbyterian Church in the Fellowship Hall (upstairs from the regular meeting place) 1195 Firetower Rd, Colora, MD 21917 7pm-11pm Speakers meeting at 7, DJ from 8-11 Beverages and snacks supplied. May 19th - Good News Group is celebrating their 45th anniversary at Centre United Methodist Church at 2409 Rocks Road in Forest Hill. Join them at 6 PM for fellowship and snacks; followed by the meeting at 7 PM. All are welcome.

June 8th - New Beginnings (meets at 9 AM) will not meet due to church activities.

INTERGROUP NEWS

June 1st - Picnic in the Park - 28 Centennial Ln - Food and fellowship 11am - 4pm. Speaker at 2. Burgers hot dogs and drinks provided. Bring a dish if you wish. Jack F will be performing a Puppet show at noon. Kids station will be in the center of the park. Bring your own chair (BYOC). Come Fellowship in Aberdeen Park!

MARYLAND AREA and AAWS NEWS

May 18th - Delegate Report Back 8:30 AM - 3 PM at Severna Park United Methodist Church, 731 Benfield Rd., Severna Park or on Zoom (more information to be posted to the event). Join the Delegate to learn about the changes and updates from the General Service Conference.

 

Institutions Committee

There is a women's facility in Elkton MD looking for women to take a commitment to their facility. They have availability Friday thru Sunday each week at 6:30 PM. If you are interested please email Kyle at kyle@nemdaa.org.

More good news . . . Aberdeen Medical Center is now starting back the A.A. commitments that were started at Harford Memorial Hospital.


Service

May 28th - Intergroup Officer Nominations and Volunteers. Nominations accepted till May 28th, elections held 7 PM on June 25th. Officer positions require 3 years of Continuous Sobriety: Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. Other Volunteer positions require only 1 year of Continuous Sobriety. June 1st - Would you like to be of service. The Picnic Committe is asking for assistance for the upcoming Picnic in the Park. Looking for help with kids games/face painting, delivering grills/supplies and rotational cooks wanted for 4 grill stations. Flippers and paints provided, supply your best BBQ apron or inner Artist!
