Juvenile Exhibitionism

"All the time he is drinking, he tells himself and those who butt into his affairs that he can become a controlled drinker if he wants to...He makes a point of calling at his favorite bar at a certain time each day and ostentatiously sipping milk or a carbonated beverage, not realizing that he is indulging in juvenile exhibitionism."

Service

The NEMDAA Office is looking for volunteers to help fill in on Fridays and Saturdays. Please contact office@nemdaa.org.

April 6th - 3 VOLUNTEERS still needed for 50/50 raffle at breakfast. This is imperative to success and the ability to have future breakfasts! Contact events@nemdaa.org for more info.

Area 29 Service Opportunity - The Maryland General Service Technology Chair is moving and Area 29 needs someone who can attend five Area Committee Meetings and Area Assemblies in person to monitor the Zoom portion of the hybrid meeting. Equipment is provided - the volunteer will be entrusted with a laptop, overhead projector, cameras, and assorted cables and peripherals, and keep them from month to month. The meeting dates are: July 19th, August 16th, October 18th, November 15th, and December 13th. This is a great service opportunity, and your service will be a tremendous asset to Area 29. If you would like to volunteer, have questions, or want to recommend someone, please reach out to chair@marylandaa.org or technology@marylandaa.org.

The Archive Committee does not meet in April - only on the first Monday of odd months. The next meeting will be on Monday, May 5th at 6PM in the NEMDAA (Intergroup) office. From the archive: Did you know that Ireland was the first European country to found an A.A. meeting? (Dublin - November 1946).
