Office News

OFFICE HOURS: The office is open TUESDAY - FRIDAY from 10AM - 3PM, and the first Saturday of the month from 10AM - 2PM. The Office will be open Saturday, Sept 5th.

Friendly reminder that announcements, anniversaries, and updates may be requested 4 weeks in advance. Requests received before Noon on Friday will appear in Sunday's release, otherwise will post the following week. Thank you for being an intricate part of the bulletin!

Meeting Closure - The Just for Today meeting at 7PM on Thursday nights in Bel Air is no longer active. The Just for Today in Rising Sun will not be affected by this change.

NEW Open Meeting - The Bright Spot, 7:30PM on Saturdays at the Harford Community Church in Bel Air, starts September 5th. Rotating format: Big Book, Step Study, Speaker, Discussion.

NEW Open Meeting - Noon Time Nuggets, 12PM on Wednesdays in Chesapeake City, starts September 16th.
Format: As Bill Sees It, Discussion.

Kingsville - The Good Orderly Direction meeting needs your support. Please stop in and check them out.

Starting September 6th - Good News Beginners will resume their step study meeting on the 2nd floor above the Good News discussion meeting, both on Sundays at 7PM in Forest Hill.

INTERGROUP NEWS

NEMDAA 50th. A Marylander (Baltimore) who contributed significantly to sustaining the fledgling AA and the writing of Big Book was not an alcoholic. Rev. Sam Shoemaker (1893-1963), an Episcopal priest, helped Bill W. in his early recovery, and organized his thoughts on our 12-step program of recovery.

$20 Tickets on sale! - throughout Area 29 (including host group Solution for Living and the Intergroup Office) for the Fall Gratitude Breakfast on Sunday, OCT 18th from 7:30AM – NOON at LVFC. Good news! Breakfast includes: eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, sausage gravy, biscuits, pancakes, and fresh coffee! Traditional 50/50, themed raffle baskets, sobriety countdown, speaker meeting, and fellowship as always!

Institutions Committee

Elkton Women's Shelter (Brantwood) seeks one woman to fill the 3rd Friday @ 6:30PM commitment. They are also open to other days. Currently only 1 woman is bringing in support one Friday per month.

Cecil County Detention Center (CCDC) is also looking for women to support a Tues or Fri commitment, please email institutions@nemdaa.org for details.

AAWS has an opening for 3 Class B (alcoholic) Trustees: Northeast, Southwest Regional Trustees, and Trustee-at-Large/Canada. Resumes are due by JAN 1, 2027. Eligibility requirements and responsibilities can be found here.
