Foreword to First Edition

"We are not an organization in the conventional sense of the word. There are no dues or fees whatsoever. The only requirement for membership is an honest desire to stop drinking. We are not allied with any particular faith, sect, or denomination, nor do we oppose anyone. We simply wish to be helpful to those who are afflicted."

-Alcoholics Anonymous, p.xiii-xiv

Institutions Committee

The Intergroup Council would like to say “Thank you” to all those who serve. For this time our physical institution commitments are cancelled due to the COVID-19; and we are exploring alternatives to the restrictions. All suggestions, concerns, and ideas are essential to carrying the message. The committee chair is contacting sponsors, groups, and individuals who are listed on the Institution Schedule to confirm their commitments.
