Foreward To Third Edition

"The Twelve Steps that summarize the program may be called los Doce Pasos in one country, les Douze Etapes in another, but they trace the same path to recovery that was blazed by the earliest members of Alcoholics Anonymous."

-Alcoholics Anonymous, p.xxii

I am Responsible...when anyone, anywhere reaches out for help, I want the hand of A.A. always to be there. And for that: I am responsible.

The Intergroup Council needs your help, your sponsor's help, your sponsee's help, your home group's help, and your district's help...

We are asking members from our local homegroups to serve as Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer. We serve a two year term, beginning in July of the election year.

If you are interested in serving or would like to nominate a fellow member, please email us at office@nemdaa.org. A proposed nominee should have 3 years of continuous sobriety. We ask for nominations by the May 9th Council Meeting and elections will be held at the June 13th Council Meeting. The elections will be held in accordance with the Third Legacy Procedures.

Service work is an essential part of our sobriety . . . Recovery, Unity, and Service . . . on page 191, Alcoholics Anonymous, we read "It would be hard to estimate how much A.A. has done for me".

Literature Delivery and Pick Up...

If you need any literature or medallions... please send email to office@nemdaa.org and arrangements can be made for purchase, pick up or delivery. If you can't afford a Big Book, please let us know and we will look for a solution... in love and service, your chair person.

Continued THANKS for your contributions... in the spirit of the 7th tradition many individuals and groups are continuing to support the Intergroup with their financial contributions. A PayPal account is set up for group contributions and is accessible on the website menu. If you need information and assistance to set up a virtual basket for your homegroup, please email at office@nemdaa.org.

Final Thought: "Each day, somewhere in the world, recovery begins when one alcoholic talks with another alcoholic, sharing experience, strength, and hope." -Alcoholics Anonymous p.xxii
