GROUP NEWS

March 2nd - The SOS Group will not meet.

The North East Big Book Group will start at 7:30PM (instead of 7PM) from March 5-April 9, 2025, due to church activities.

New Meeting - Fellowship of the Spirit will meet on Fridays at 7PM starting March 7th at 7 Aberdeen Shopping Plaza Rd in Aberdeen. Join them for an open discussion focusing on the first 164 pages of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Meeting Closure - Attraction Not Distraction is permanently closed.

DISTRICT NEWS

April 5th - Join District 11 for their Spring 2025 workshop, "On the Road of Happy Destiny!" from 10AM-1:30PM at North East Methodist Church. See the flyer for details.

INTERGROUP NEWS

The Archive Committee will meet on Monday, March 3rd at 6 PM in the Aberdeen NEMDAA office. See our committee page for more information. Besides committee work we will discuss the newly accessed: Gleaning from Maryland's AA History.

AAWS & MARYLAND NEWS

March 6th - Area 29 will host the Conference Agenda Review Committee (CARC) III Planning Meeting on Zoom from 6PM-7PM. All are welcome - be a part of A.A.'s group conscience! See the event page for more info and email registrar@marylandaa.org if you are interested but cannot attend this meeting.

Institutions Committee

Cecil County Detention Center (CCDC) Volunteers: Mark your calendars for orientation. Refresher orientation for existing volunteers will be held March 5th at 11 AM. New volunteer orientation will be held on March 6th at 11 AM. New volunteers who plan to attend this orientation but did not yet submit the required paperwork should contact Kyle as soon as possible at kyle@nemdaa.org.


Service

New Answering Service information: Comcast has changed their website, affecting how we sign in and change numbers for our Answering Service commitment. Carol has updated the instructions on how to sign in from PCs and mobile devices in Google Drive. She will be sharing this with her group contacts in the upcoming weeks. For more information please contact Carol at answeringservice@nemdaa.org.

April 6th - The Events Committee is still looking for a Home Group to support the Annual Breakfast. Volunteers would help sell door tickets and 50/50 at the event. Contact events@nemdaa.org for more info.
