...why Step Five...

"The best reason first: If we skip this vital step, we may not overcome drinking...More than most people, the alcoholic leads a double life. He is very much the actor. To the outer world he presents his stage character. This is the one he likes his fellows to see. He wants to enjoy a certain reputation, but he knows in his heart he doesn't deserve it...We must be entirely honest with somebody if we expect to live long or happily in this world."

The Council is sorry to announce there will be no Gratitude Breakfast for Fall 2020 because of the restrictions for serving food due to the Reopening Regulations from the State of Maryland and local governments. We hope to be able to have our Appreciation Breakfast in the Spring of 2021.

Please email our Ways and Means Chair at rachael@nemdaa.org and let us know YES or NO. You can also attend the Monthly Intergroup Council Meeting on Tuesday, October 27th 7PM on Zoom.

Extend Your Hand with your Old  Grapevine Magazines The Grapevine Committee is collecting past issues of Grapevine to help members during these challenging times. Virtual and conference call meetings are great BUT we have members who are not able to participate.  How Can You Help?   Donate past issues of Grapevine and Identify who might benefit from the Grapevine.  What’s Next? For details email grapevine@marylandaa.org. Tradition 5 states: “Each group has but one primary purpose – to carry the message to the alcoholic who still suffers.”
